Scenic Stover School!

It is not often that I am introduced to a home to photograph that has memories involved with it. This home is a family home passed down through two generations, and now is being out on the market with the amazing Jenny Mitchell at Nest Realty Shenandoah Valley. I am hoping that through the pictures, you can get a sense for how special this place truly is, but they may not convey just how much.

This home on Stover School is the epitome of relaxation...it sits of 13 acres with some of that being wooded. I remember as a young kid, coming up to the house in the summer and going on "hikes" through the woods with my Dad on the trails in the woods. There was always tons of wildlife, and treasures to be found. As I was growing up, this home was ALWAYS cool during the summer and breezy (but now it has a complete update on the cooling and definitely is cool in the summer). I was always told that a German engineer built this house and it was designed with the ut-most care. Tons of heating sources, natural light through the skylights, nice features like hardwoods, etc. and just in general: good bones.

Another memory is spending time on the side patio off of the kitchen. There was always a patio table out there with tons of places to sit and catch up. In the morning, the sunlight hits it just right to warm you up on a cool spring morning out eating breakfast. Other memories include playing downstairs in the "basement" which really is like another house! A whole other living space, kitchen, and bedroom with attached bathroom.

This home really is amazing and will be one that is still standing 200 years from now with a happy family taking care of it for another two generations. I am so thankful that this HOME was part of my history.
